    1890. He was born in 1891 and had 6 siblings. Rose Scott was born in 1885, the daughter of Clara and her first husband, David Scott (1844-1888). The other 5 children of Henry and Clara were George (born 1894, but died in his first year), Annie Louisa (b. 1896), Clara Elizabeth (born 1897 but also died in her first year), Frederick Archibald (1898-1967) and Arthur Horace (b. 1902).
    In 1911, Henry and Clara, together with Annie, Frederick and Arthur were living in Nelson Street, Derby but by then William had joined up and was a private in

    in Hong KongKong. Later, Henry and family moved to Church Hill in Spondon, which is presumably why William is mentioned on the memorial there.
    William died of wounds 23rd July 1915 and is buried in Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension (Nord), I, C, 96.
    There seems to be no close family connection to Frederick Taylor.

    BornFrederick was the second son of Robert (1863-1895) and Emma (née Radford, 1861-1918) Taylor. They married in 1881 and their first child, John Edward (1881-1943) was born shortly after. The other children were Ada (b. 1886), Jane (1886-1890) and Samuel (b. 1889)

    Frank was the third son of Percy (1883-1955) and Ethel Ashby, of Spondon; husbandMargaret (née Morris, 1885-1957) Ashby. His brothers were John Eric (1913-1985), Sydney Morris (1914-2005) and Christopher (1925-1979). Ethel came from Warwickshire but married Percy in 1911 in Derby. By 1939, the family (including Frank) were living at 11 Kirkleys Avenue, Spondon. They were near neighbours of Geoffrey Bamford and his family.
    Frank married
    Kathleen Ashby, ofTill (1919-1973) in 1941 and they had one son, Alan Stephen (b.1945). Ten years after Frank’s death, she married Alec Williamson. Frank died in Derby
    Buried
    Borough Isolation Hospital on 12 January 1947 and was buried 3 days later in Spondon Cemetery, Derbyshire, Grave 1129Cemetery (Grave 1129).
